I am a junior CS student concentrating on
Information/Networking and
Intelligent
threads
transferred from Boston University. I was surprised by the proficiency of CS resources, such as
courses, working opportunities, and researches, in my first semester (fall 2021) in GT. It is
CREATE-X that attracts me the most.
It is a program to incubate and test your tech ideas, just
like launching a mini start-up company and making your idea come true. I may test my idea about
a home fitness APP in this program in the next semester.
Why did I choose to concentrate on info/networking and intelligent threads? For info/networking,
I understand how important and popular is network in software developments nowadays through my
previous employment in a start-up company working on hybrid cloud. Data transaction and
management are really basic and important. They should be known by every developer. Moreover,
there are machine learning and artificial intelligence courses in the Intelligent thread. I am
obsessed with the smart and automated computer or machines. I believe that they will make a big
difference in our daily life in the future.
This is an international high school. I took IGCSE courses at grade 10 and AP courses at grade 11 & 12. Honestly speaking, these three years changed my life. I was a nerdy boy when I graduated from the middle school. I still put 100% effort on academic study at the first three months in high school. However, I found out that school life is more than paper work. There are still lots of fancy clubs and sports waiting for me. By realizing western universities caring about both grades and activities outside classroom, I tried several interesting clubs like Kung Fu and shadow play, but only few of them stay at the end, including commerce club and frisbee team. Moreover, I decided to majoring in CS because I am really satisfied with the perfect logic between codes.

I am working on Computer Science B.A. at Boston University. As an international student, American college life is appealing but also challenging for me. Luckily, with the help from patient professors and friendly classmate, I pretty enjoy my first-year college life and get GPA of 4.0 at the first semester. When the course becomes more difficult at next year, some of my courses falls to A-, resulting in GPA 3.89 now.
